If we can have Christmas in July, we can have Halloween in May right?? Well I’m saying yes. I love Halloween, and this was such a fun way to celebrate it! We were so excited when our friends Lashon and Ben let us in on their secret surprise elopement they had planned for Halloween, and even more excited when they asked us to photograph it. Their home was the perfect setting for their celebration- it’s so beautiful and has a moody vibe (my fave) and their design elements within it were perfect for their style and Halloween wedding vibes! Their choice to keep things small, with only us and two other couples that are close friends, encouraged good conversations, low stress, and ample time for some killer portraits (including their handsome kitty babies and a backdrop of an abandoned house next door.) Their ceremony in their living room was so sweet and personal, and their first dance in their kitchen was one of my favorite parts of their day. It was so romantic.
Your style and your love are your own. Your wedding, and how you choose to celebrate, is your choice! We adore small weddings and elopements, always have! Also, this is a great example, especially during this time of an unprecedented pandemic, that you can still marry your love, even if it’s not at a huge wedding. You can still wear that amazing dress, eat cake, and celebrate. And even have a dance party in your kitchen. Love is not canceled!
