As an LGBTQ+ wedding photographer, I live for moments like this—when a couple shows up completely as themselves, with style, joy, and so much love! These courthouse wedding portraits I had the pleasure of photographing were a perfect blend of elegance and personality. And set against the backdrop of a beautiful historic courthouse made for such beautiful photos!
One bride wore a black dress and the other a white gown. The contrast was stunning, and together they brought such a powerful, romantic energy to the day! The wind was wild (like, really wild), but instead of fighting it—we all leaned into it. The result? Dramatic, wind-swept portraits that felt cinematic and alive.
We began the session with a few quiet, intimate images inside the courthouse itself—surrounded by grand architecture and soft natural light. Next, we headed outside to explore the historic town square, capturing movement and laughter. Admits it all, there were so many in-between moments that spoke volumes about their connection.
These two joyful humans laughed through the entire session. They were completely at ease with one another. I could feel how head-over-heels in love they were, and that kind of joy is always my favorite thing to capture. These wedding portraits were a celebration of not just their commitment to one another, and the beauty and strength of queer love, but of who they are together. Playful, powerful, and full of love. Because love, is love, is love. Always.
Whether you’re planning an elopement, an intimate courthouse ceremony, or just want wedding portraits that reflect your real connection—know this: your love deserves to be seen, honored, and celebrated in a way that feels true to you.
