Some sessions are just pure magic, and this one had all the elements—a shared love of Dungeons & Dragons, the perfect dash of awkward (on purpose!), Wes Anderson-inspired posing, and a whole lot of 70s flair.

Meet – cute inspired theme

These two met over a D&D campaign, and it only made sense to celebrate their engagement by leaning into the things that made their connection so unique—and so fun! From the moment they stepped into this perfectly swanky 70s-themed pad, decked out in vintage threads that looked like they were pulled straight from a retro rom-com, I knew this was going to be a session for the books.

Let’s get weird!

We fully embraced the “awkward couples photos” trope, complete with stiff stares and staged hand-holds that had us cracking up. It was cheesy, it was ridiculous, and it was perfect. They absolutely owned it, and I loved how much they trusted me with their creative ideas!

But in between the laughs and dramatic symmetrical posing (Wes Anderson would’ve been proud), there were also these quiet, romantic moments. Gorgeous, vibey and moody portraits that captured their loving relationship beneath all the play.

Sessions like this one, filled with intention, personality, playfulness, and a whole lot of heart, just make me so happy and end up being so much fun!
