Something beautiful happened here in Nashville.
This past weekend, I hosted Affirmed—a group boudoir empowerment shoot designed to celebrate self-love, body acceptance, and the power of community. But this wasn’t your typical boudoir session. This was an experience—emotional, vulnerable, healing, and unforgettable.
Before we even stepped into the studio, everyone joined me online for an affirmation crafting workshop. We dug deep into what affirmations really are—not just feel-good phrases, but words that ground you in your truth. Words that can shift the way you see yourself. Words that stick.
Everyone created their own personal affirmations and brought them with them to the shoot. These affirmations were written out on poster boards, a shared backdrop, and even on their bodies—each message a declaration of worth, strength, and enoughness.
Then we began photographing.
This wasn’t about hiding or posing perfectly—it was about showing up just as you are. It was honest, raw, and powerful.
And it was so, so beautiful.
As a Nashville boudoir photographer, I’ve witnessed how transformative these sessions can be. But Affirmed was next-level. It wasn’t just about the photos—it was about how it felt to be seen. To witness yourself with kindness. To stand in front of the camera not in spite of your insecurities, but alongside them.
There were tears. There was laughter. There were deep breaths, hugs, cheers, and moments of quiet knowing. These women created a safe space for each other—one where everyone felt supported, celebrated, and affirmed.
“I was so scared of this shoot. White 😳? Bra and panties only 😰? No fancy draping to hide behind 😱? Just honest and raw and no frills—and they turned out beautifully! I’m honored to have been part of this.”
“I just looked at all of these photos again. I’m so emotional because I see all of these straight up stunners—SMOKE SHOWS—all of us. And I don’t feel like I’m the odd man out. Maybe it’s because I’ve done shoots with this group before… or maybe I’m finally not picking myself apart so much. Either way, I’m just so proud of all of us.”
“Can we do it again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next?”
“I love us. I love all of our faces right off. We are awesome.”
These words mean everything.
My sessions are created for you. Whether you’re at the beginning of your body acceptance journey or further along the path, you deserve to be affirmed. You deserve to take up space. You deserve to feel seen and celebrated in your skin.
To those who participated in this experience—thank you. Your energy, your honesty, your presence turned this shoot into something beyond what I imagined. You reminded me why this work matters so deeply.
And to anyone in the Nashville area craving this kind of powerful experience:
